According to a British friend of mine, when asked about Brad Gilbert rumored to become Andy Murray’s new coach: “For the moment I believe that it is local TV and press talk who are also saying the LTA is paying part of the fees rumoured to be around £500,000 but nobody seems to be denying it.”
And then he just wrote back: “Andy publicly acknowledged over the weekend that Gilbert will be his coach and should be with him in the U.S.” If the young Scot has the physical talent he seems to, when paired with Brad Gilbert’s great strategic thinking… he could be top ten in a year or two!
