Fantasy Tennis – Thursday, Day 5

The weather is now perfect and the morning clinic was presented by American doubles specialist Rick Leach, with a very interesting concept on how to know where to move on the doubles court.

John Newcombe Fantasy Camp Monday, Day 2

It’s raining and cold! The temperature is in the 50’s; so I am glad to have brought my long sleeve shirts and warm-up suit. After breakfast, our Wanker team had a meeting to meet each other and talk with our three coaches (Emmo, Marty Reissen and Brian Gottfried).

John Newcombe Fantasy Camp Sunday, Day 1

This is the start of the “best week of my tennis year” and the travel to the John Newcombe tennis ranch in New Braunfels, Texas was smooth. At the airport I hooked up with a couple of returning veterans and several “rookies,” who had all the usual questions about what to expect.

The Right Strings

The Right Strings – At the US Open, announcer Jim Courier talked about the popularity and benefits of the new Luxilon strings. My regular Tuesday New Hampshire singles partner, Bruce Cassella, also uses and swears by the benefits of the string. But are they right for everyone?
