Practice Makes Perfect?

Posted on Friday 1 January 2010

Had a practice singles match this New Year’s morning with friend Bob Dilworth (who is also playing the tournament next week, but in the 70’s); and I had trouble keeping the ball in play!

Can’t figure why that happens on some days. I just made way too many unforced errors – which you cannot do if you want to win any tournament matches.

Well tomorrow, Tom and I have a practice dubs match with nationally-ranked Don Long and Sam Corso; and then Tom and I will hit some light singles on Sunday; so I hope to work the kinks out before Monday’s first round match against a player I do not know, Phillip LaRoche from MO.
